Finance Analyst


You Are...

A key contributer to driving business performance and profitability by providing clear and insightful financial analysis to key stakeholders. Key responsibilities will include the analysis of results and progress against budgets/forecasts and variances. Business Partnering with the Network Operations, Sales teams and challenge performance while identifying business opportunities to increase profitability. The position will support the production of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts and assist in competitor analysis. The position will be split 50:50 between reviewing Sales & Marketing Data and Network Operations Data.


Natterbox are looking for a skilled and experienced data analyst to join the finance team to provide financial and performance analysis of key business metrics to stakeholders.

The position requires a motivated and efficient person capable of prioritising and managing multiple complex tasks efficiently and following sometimes complex processes.

Provide meaning analysis on the following business items:

  • Carrier Cost Analysis and Rate Table maintenance

  • Reconcile Call data charges (Fixed and Variable) by client back to client contracts

  • Review, maintain and present to management the following costs analysis:

  • ○ Data Centre

  • ○ IP Line

  • ○ Unused numbers

  • ○ Freephone numbers

  • Sales Analytics:

  • ○ Pipeline Stage Reports

  • ○ Backlog Revenue Reports

  • ○ Sales Forecasts and pricing reports

  • Support the Company forecasting and budgeting process

  • Provide support to the Company Financial Control in reviewing monthly variance analysis across all P&L and balance sheet items.

  • Support the month end close process in ensuring statement accuracy of key category suppliers


Essential Experience
  • Producing Executive information from large data volumes

  • Forecasting and budgeting

  • High level data analytic abilities

  • 2-5 years previous relevant experience

Desirable Experience
  • Salesforce CRM experience

  • Experience in a VOIP Service Provider/ Telco environment

Essential Skills
  • Have strong Excel skills (including v-look up, pivot tables, complex formulae)

  • Experience of databases and working with large data sets

  • Problem solving and analytical skills

  • Data visualisation and performance metrics

  • Excellent presentation skills

Desirable Skills
  • Salesforce CRM

  • Advanced Excel skills - VBA, macros, data grooming and data analysis techniques

  • Cloud based software integration tools

  • Business analysis skills

  • Statistical analysis skills


Essential Attributes
  • Part or Newly qualified ACCA / CIMA

  • Flexible and logical approach to work

  • Good at forming new ideas and demonstrating them to others

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders to achieve joint outcomes

  • Feel comfortable in challenging stakeholders as required to ensure best outcomes are achieved

  • Have a "can do" attitude and be willing to work on adhoc projects and tasks as required

  • UK passport or right to work in the UK essential for this role

Desirable Attributes
  • Active interest in communications and IP technologies

  • Full driving license
