Natterbox Partners with PCI Pal® to add a fully integrated PCI Compliant Payment Solution

Natterbox, a leading provider of global contact center solutions, announced that it has successfully integrated a secure cloud payment solution into its telephony platform, which meets the strict requirements of the PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.  

The new integration was completed in partnership with PCI Pal®, a leading provider of SaaS solutions that empower organisations to take payments securely by any business communication channel. This new integration builds on Natterbox’s existing PCI functionality and offers merchants and their customers an extra level of data security by ensuring no sensitive data reaches the organisation’s environment when processing card payments. With the Natterbox PCI Payments solution, powered by PCI Pal, businesses can securely process credit card information over the phone with full PCI DSS compliance, giving customer peace of mind. 

Rather than giving their details to contact center agents, the solution utilises DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) masking technology, as well as Speech Recognition, which enables customers to key in or speak their card information. The solution integrates with the call flow and at the point of payment, intercepts any keypad tones or speech from the customer. The agent doesn’t hear or see the card data, only asterisks on the screen. The customer can remain in conversation with the agent throughout, and provided with assistance if necessary. But the sensitive card data is prevented from reaching the merchant’s environment, drastically reducing the scope of PCI compliance.
