Challenge

Revolut moves fast. Their telephony platform wasn’t keeping up.

Revolut had only been operating within the Salesforce ecosystem for around 18 months when the limitations of its existing telephony provider became clear. With a global sales force growing rapidly, Revolut needed a telephony platform that could keep pace: natively embedded in Salesforce, highly customisable, and built to grow with them.

Limited Salesforce integration

Revolut’s engineers needed to be able to get hands-on with their telephony platform, customising it, maintaining it, and surfacing all voice data directly within Salesforce. Their previous provider fell short. As David Hewett, Global Head of Sales Tools and Product Owner, put it: “If there’s data not on the platform, then frankly it’s not much use to us.”

Calls are recorded with configurable consent flows, including country-specific rules for Germany. Recording Access Profiles ensure data is visible only to authorised users.

Scalable User Management

Bulk user templates allow Revolut to deploy Natterbox licences, group memberships, and skill assignments to hundreds of users at once, enabling rapid onboarding as the team grows.

Coming Next: WhatsApp for Business

With their voice foundation in place, Revolut is now rolling out WhatsApp for Business as a second channel through Natterbox. Fully embedded in Salesforce, the deployment is built around the same principles as the original implementation: automation, compliance, and zero disruption to existing workflows.

Compliance built in

Attachment blocking, keyword-triggered opt-out handling, and automatic “Do Not Contact” updates in Salesforce keep Revolut on the right side of regulations across every market.

The implementation itself took just a few weeks from kickoff to go-live, and rolling out to the full global user base required little more than a single action. “It was almost one click of a button to roll out to our thousand sellers from around the world,” said David Hewett.

“By having it on platform, it enables our Salesforce engineers to get hands-on with the product and start to customise it and maintain it, and really give us all of that data visibility within the platform as well.”
